Import Word Files into Canva

Have you ever tried to create a newsletter, poster, or similar file in Microsoft Word?  While it is definitely possible, it can be tricky to align text, graphics, and other elements just the way you would like them to appear.  Well, now, it is possible to take your Word files and move them to a world where you have far more flexibility.  

What world is that, you ask?  Well, it is Canva for EDU!  If you are not familiar with Canva for Education, it’s a powerful, FREE program for teacher and student creation.  From comic strips and infographics to book talks and screencasts, all sorts of files can be created by combining the elements of text, graphics, audio, video, shapes, lines, and animations.  Check out our playlist to learn more. 

Now, Canva for EDU gives us the capability of being able to import a Microsoft Office file into Canva.  So, round up your PowerPoint or Word files and try it.  The best part is that, once in Canva, all of the elements are editable.  Fonts and colors can be changed.  Images can be added or deleted.  Audio or video can even be included.  The possibilities are endless, and links to Canva files can be shared with a couple of clicks.
